Weighing, in many postal applications, is now only one element of the complex systems used to manage the delivery process. The information needed for the task of mail-stream management includes class of service, destination, time of entry, value,method of transport and a myriad of other items, including weight. As the systems become more and more refined, the usage of this information becomes more critical.
