摘要

The grain boundary structure of a SrTiO_3 based ceramic has been investigated by HREM and HAADF STEM imaging. The results of this indicate a substitution of both Sr and Ti sites by Bi at the interface and an associated facetting to expose (020) planes of the substrate. At the interface region an amorphous phase is generally present but occasionally crystalline Sr_2Bi_4Ti_5O_(18) and a non-stoichiometic phase are also formed.
