The project has employed the reduction cell developed jointly by Guizhou Aluminum Plant and Guiyang Aluminum-Magnesium Design & Research Institute (GAMI). We have adopted the principle of "four-lows and one-high (low - alumina concentration, low-molecular ratio, low-anode effect factor, low-reduction temperature and high-pitch distance)" as well as intelligent fussy control technology for the process control. The installation is equipped with the dense-phase transfer of material and dry-scrubbing system for the fume gas emission control. For over a year since the start-up, the project smelter has obtained a stable operation and showed reliable and advanced performance, good economic return and remarkable environment control efficiency.
