Processing the high resolution seismic data and comparison with the data obtained from mining workings allows definition of the seam variations, the small-scale geologic structure and the texture of coal. For the described examples, nine faults with >=3-m drop height, three faults with >=1-m drop height and four structural loose zones located in about 680-m depth are found in 1.2 kilometers square area of the reserch district. It provides a useful large-scale experimental meausre for the seismic exploration.
