Potential of DECT terminal technology for providing low-cost wireless Internet access through Infostations

This paper shows how the Infostation concept can be used to provide high data rate services at low cost. Infostations are small disjoint cells which can use the UMTS unpaired band and be installed by many different operators, allowing fast roll-out of the service provision without the high cost of setting up a dedicated network.
