Evaluation of the Radio Frequency (RF) environment for electronic systems in the field has often been a time consuming and burdensome task, especially for mobile systems. This paper discusses a methodology for determining the RF Environment forsuch systems using common office spreadsheet software. The model developed has been validated and used successfully to evaluate the RF environment on the ground and during ascent for several launch vehicles, launch sites, and payloads.
