A full 3-D moment-method (MoM) analysis is discussed which has had 2-D sheet-impedance elements introduced to model the dielectric substrate of coplanar stripline. The analysis is applied to various track configurations using different track geometries, across the frequency range 1.5 to 12GHz. The currents on the tracks and the input impedances, both computed by the MoM with the 2-D sheet-impedance elements and the original MoM are demonstrated to be in good agreement. The use of 2-D sheet-impedance elements significantly improves the computational efficiency of the MoM reducing the demands of both core memory and CPU by more than an order of magnitude.
