In modern wireless communication systems, such as the cellular, the WLAN and others, different antennas with the separated feeds are usually used [1]. These kinds of antenna configurations may take a larger realty space in the systems. Hence, the compact multi-frequency integration antennas with a single feed becomes an important subject [2]. In this paper, a compact integrated dual-band DRA is proposed. This structure uses the combination of a thin rectangular DR and a L-shaped microstrip line, and the L-shaped microstrip line perforins as a radiator and a feed to the DR. With the optimized structure parameters, the DRA resonates at a lower band and the L-shaped works a higher band, and the antenna radiates in conical like patterns at the two bands. The proposed design can find its applications in wireless communication systems, especially for vehicle-based antennas, where null radiation is in the broadside direction.
