In conclusion the investigation of Four-Wave Mixing between signals around the zero dispersion wavelength and erbium doped fiber amplifier noise shows that when the two signals are placed symmetrically with respect to the zero dispersion wavelength strong parametric amplification of the amplifier noise occurs. The process is strongly dependent of the detuning from the symmetry position and a bandwidth on the order of 1 nm was observed. The parametric amplification spectrum of the ASE noise is governed by the fourth order dispersion term.
