Computer graphics achievement award

摘要

ACM SIGGRAPH recognizes Anthony D.DeRose with the 1999Computer Graphics Achievement Award for his seminal work in makign subdivision surfaces a practical geometric modleing technique.Although there are many hopefuls waiting in the wings,there re only two widely accepted geometiric primitives in computer grpahics-polygons and parameteric patches.DeRose's work,and the wide range of activiyt that it has sparked,will surely add another primitive to the geometric modeler's pantheon-subdivision surfaces.
