Situated on the eastern margin of Kangdian axis the lead-zinc mineral belt is an important mineral occurrence of lead-zinc in southwestern China. It is 1 200 km in length from Kangding in Sichuan Province to northeastern Yunnan Province, and 500 km in width from west to east. There are four large deposits, fourteen middle deposits and many small deposits or mineralized spots. Famous large deposits such as Doliangzi, Tianbaoshan, Chipu and Kuangshanchang are distributed in this belt.
