An effective procedure is developed to analyze the deployment porcess for truss deployable structures in this paper. Base on Lagrange form of D'Alembert priciple including redundant generatlized coordinates, indpendent dynamic differential equations are deduced using a Jacobian matrix derived by geometrical constraint equations. Singular value decomposition is employedto find the rank and bases of nullspace of Jacobian matrix. Equivalent mass matrix for rigid members is also formulated, and the deployment proccess for a large deployable antenna, driven by the tension spring, is investigated.
