The main network issues concerning the integration of mobile satellite communication system and IMT-2000 were studied in this paper, include radio propagation characteristics, five levels of integration, three potential roles of satellite and three envisaged deployment scenarios for satellite component of IMT-2000. At the end of this paper, an example configuration was presented.
