MTF testing of linear array CCD cameras with four-line target

摘要

The MTF is of fundamental importance in evaluating an imaging system. However, the classic definition of MTF is no longer fit for CCD cameras as they are shift-variant instead of shift-invariant. A new MTF definition for CCD cameras together with a testing approach is presented. Theoretical analysis shows that this approach can overcome the effect of sampling and shift-variant successfully.
