The Application of Tantalum in Chemical Industry

On account of its thermal, physical and chemical corrosive characteristics tantalum is particularly well suited to chemical reactions which take place under aggressive conditions. Problems in manufacturing and processing special metals, which may be caused by high melting points, the high solubility of gases, and high-level reactivity, have been overcome in recent years with the effect that tantalum can now be processed in virtually every required form.
