摘要

In conclusion, we predict that highly efficient frequency doubling of subpicosecond pulses can be accomplished in walk-off compensated NPP with peak pump intensities in the MW/cm{sup}2 range, in a wide wavelength band centered around the third telecommunication window. Results are believed to greatly expand the potential applications of NPP to the implementation of parametric devices and cascading phenomena in general.
