The study submitted here deals with combi-boilers which can modulate their power linearly. It is presented in three steps. First, the models submitted here have been developed in our laboratory and allow to compute the behaviour of heaters, boiler, and their control systems. These models implemented in the program TRNSYS allow to simulate the thermal behaviour of both the building and the heating plan. Next, the complete model was validated by an experimental heating plan in a real site. Finally, an auto-adaptative controller was developed allowing to automatically choose the set temperature for water in the boiler. Then, this controller was tested thanks to our model. This new control method allows to reduce the set temperature as much as possible without causing fast cyclic running.
