摘要

Ferrite-rimmed spheroidal graphite cast iron, composed of ferrite-rich structure at the surface layer and pearlite-rich structure at the inner part of a cylindrical specimen, has been developed by a simple heal treatment. Deflection and energy absorption in bending or impact test of the newly developed cast iron are markedly improved compared with a conventional cast iron with homogeneous ferrite-pearlile structure of the same strength.
