Dynamic Behaviour of Core Soil of Xiaowan Rockfill Dam

Core material of high embankment should meet the needs of deformation consistency as well as impermeability. The test of dynamic strength, modulus and damping of gravel and heavy compacted clay have been performed by the author. New approaches are introduced to estimate several important parameters.
