On Development Planning of Underground Space in Chongqing

摘要

Underground complex, sharing some of the urban functions and the aboveground projects are interdependent on each other, when they operate as a whole, their coordinative effect will have active influence on renewal and development of the city. In addition of the function of civil air defence, they can enhance the resistivity of the city against damage. Expanding the city underground can save land in the city and the three dimensional planning of the city is a symbol of modernized city.
