In this paper the elastoplastic stress fields near joint line in rockmass loaded by compress-shear are analyzed by the line field method in fracture mechanics with Mohr-coulomb criterion. Through the matching conditions of the elastopastic fields on their boundary the relations between the length of plastic zone on the joint line and the compresshear loads are found, and the fracture criterion of the discrete joint is also obtaind.
