VALIDATION OF THE NEW FRENCH CRITICALITY-SAFETY PACKAGE 'CRISTAL'

In order to respond to the increasing accuracy requirements for French fuel cycle applications, the Commissariat a l'Energie Atomique (CEA) and the COGEMA/SGN Company, are developing a new criticality-safety package 'CRISTAL'. The CRISTAL system involves the newest accurate codes, APOLLO2 and TRIPOLI4 and uses the recent JEF2 European File. The calculation routes were elaborated and checked by reference codes calculations. Then, these recommended routes were validated against specific Criticality experiments.
