FOUNDATION OF COMPOSITE NDT CERTIFICATION

The purpose of this type of NDT is the ability to examine the composite structural integrity. Once the resin becomes a solid, you can't physically look inside or in between the layers to inspect for flaws, i.e. disbonds, voids, delaminations, etc.; so the solution to this problem is NDT. The three methods we use for NDT at Programmed Composites, Inc. are ultrasonic, eddycurrent and acoustic impact.
