In this way the balst furnace is easily remodelled to the flow Oven, which lowers extremely the coke rate by lifting the fine coal rate to highest degree. Besides that it clears upand facilitates ironmaking in many respects. The same nitrogen-free work renders possible the smelting reduction of fine ore by means of fine coal. That Suspension Smelter avoids as well agglomerating the ore as coking the coal and offers additional gains. These two big leaps in smelting iron may be easily brought about with elements offered by the state of art. Therefore it is to expect. During this decade the two sorts of ironmaking will come true.
