24.3: The Application of a Bistable Device to Reflective Guest-Host LCDs

摘要

A highly-twisted nematic liquid crystal display (LCD) exhibits Instability of the 'up' and 'down' states when a holding voltage is applied. This device has the advantage of low cost driving without using active elements. In this study, the bistability device is applied to reflective guest-host LCDs, and the EO performance of the device is reported.
