7.1: Surface Plasmon Tunable Color Filter and Display Device

摘要

An electronically tunable color filter based on a new phenomenon of "voltage-induced color-selective absorption of surface plasmons" is underdevelopment at JPL. This surface plasmon tunable filter is able to generate field sequential red, green and blue colors with high efficiency. This tunable filter can be used for both projection and direct view display devices.
