摘要

A semi-empirical optical model for the interpretation of video images of live blood vessels in vitro is developed. The model is capable of resolving a contradiction between the measured temporal evolution of vessel dimensions and the widely held view that tissue is incompressible to first order. one possible implication of the model is that the tissue optical properties are dynamic. Data for this study are obtained from images of muscular rat arteries.
