Evaluation of conservativism in the simplified elastic-plastic analysis using analytical pesults

To study the strain concentration factor Ke which is used in the simplified elastic-plastic analysis in the MITI Notification 501 in Japan and the ASME B&PV Code Sec.III, the Ke-factor Advisory OCmmittee chaired by Professor yasuhide Asada was established in June, 1999 as a research committee of the Thermal and Nuclear Power Engineering Society (TEMPES). The research program of this committee is introduced and the evaluations for basic models are discussed.
