A cost effectivej controler impelemtation has bene devleoped for tonal noise cancellation appliatiosn based on a hygrid form of the filtered-x Least Mean Squared (LMS) algorithm.Concurrent engineering practices have successfully been emloyed to develp a highly effiicent algorihtm and processing engine apable of handling large dimensinal multi-input multi-output (MMO) systmes.The key to the effiicency of theis design lies in the integration of the advantages of both the frequency domain and the time domain LMS algorithms.Every aspect of the algorihtms implementation is functionally partitionled for speed in both hardware and software.This equializaiton,and output gain limitaitoanl.This controler design has bene successfully demonstrated onseveral trubofan and kturboprop aircraft.In erms of scost effectiveness,htis implemn etaion ins uuperior for tonal noise cancellaiton of large dimensional MIMO systems.
