THE INTERWORKING BETWEEN ATM NETWORK AND EXISTING NARROWBAND NETWORK

摘要

This paper proposes an ATM Voice Service Access System (AVSAS) which employs the ATM technology and interworks with the existing narrowband network.The architecture of the AVSAS is given including hardware and software.The system implements transmission and switching functions for the rapidly increasing voice services in China.It provides a practicable technical means for the migration of the current telecommunication networks into B-ISDN,and has an encouraging application prospects.
