摘要

In this paper a new pneumatic flash dryer - double tube flash dryer was described. This dryer was built in order to reduce the overall height of the drying equipment and increase the thermal efficiency of flash dryer. Performance test of this double tube dryer was carried out at lab. of Beijing Agricultural Engineering University. Distiller's grain was used as drying materials. Effect of air temperature, feed rate and air flow rate on the drying rate and specific energy consumption were analyzed. Experimental results show that twin double tube flash dryer has the best performance compared with straight tube and single double tube dryer. This dryer may be used for drying distiller's grain and other powdered materials. Conclusions may be useful.
