ON THE MECHANISM OF VERSION MANAGEMENT IN ENGINEERING DATABASE

摘要

With the rapid development of CAD/CAM techniques and their widespread application in engineering design, there are more and more requirements for engineering-oriented database management system. Version management becomes one of the bottleneck problems in engineering database management system (EDBMS). In this paper , a version management model based on the record difference and its controlling strategy are proposed, which has been implemented in EDBMS/2 - a kernel of EDBMS designed by our CAD Lab. , and the detailed implementation techniques are given too.
