In this paper, we perform a fundamental study on partial discharge (PD) phenomena caused by creepage discharges in SF/sub 6/ gas. Besides phase-resolved PD pulse height measurements, electromagnetic spectra emitted from the PD are measured simultaneously. We also discuss the relation between PD statistical parameters and the spectra.
