The process of evacuation and rescuing in underground flooding has been modeled, simulated and analyzed based on the Vitae System Model. Based on our previous work, some extensions have been made to deal with the process of self-evacuation to rescuing. Convivial Phases II, III, IV and V have been modeled to simulate the processes of cooperative rescuer-rescuee life-saving communications. With Case 1-1 as the standard reference case, different cases have been simulated and the corresponding results are compared. It has been numerically shown how survivability and vitality determine the resultant effects (performances) of cooperative rescuer-rescuee life-saving communications. Appropriate choices of the proposed methods, i.e., direct and indirect rescuing, have also been found to make a difference in the performance.
