The influence of smoke from Siberian forest fires on the pollution of the surface layer of the atmosphere of Krasnoyarsk by PM_(2.5) particulate matter is analyzed. The average daily maximum permissible concentration (35 μg/m~3) was used as a pollution criterion. The pollution period was 12 days when calculating the average daily concentrations of PM_(2.5) and 9.5 days when calculating the average hourly concentrations of PM_(2.5). In the first case, the maximum concentration of PM_(2.5) was 77.9 μg/m~3. and in the second case 164.5 μg/m~3. At a wind speed of about 6 m/s, the cleaning time for the city's atmosphere was approximately 80 minutes.
