We demonstrate spectral beam combining of a 930 nm diode laser bar based on an external cavity structure with -1sttransmission grating. This technique is based on the wavelength selection characteristic of the grating and thefeedback by external cavity. Beams from each emitters of the diode laser array are locked at different wavelengthsand overlap in the near and far fields. With the maximum continuous wave (CW) injection current of 90 A, a CWoutput power of 49.6 W and a spectral beaming combining efficiency of 61.3% are achieved.
