The performance of the MEMS Bimorph Piezoelectric energy harvester is improved and optimized, based on Grey Wolf optimization (GWO), for medical applications. In the proposed research work, three materials [PZT-5A, PZT-4 and PZT-S] are used for modeling the device, which generates frequency, power, stress, displacement and total stored energy. The main objective of the proposed work is, to optimize the parameters of the piezoelectric energy harvester by GWO, to generate maximized power, at higher stress and displacement which is suitable for medical applications. Ear-Canal bending sensor is chosen as the medical application. The simulation work is carried out using COMSOL Multiphysics software. The analysis of electrical and mechanical properties is carried out for three materials and comparison is made between the materials. Finally, the comparison result proves that, PZT-5A (Piezoelectric layer) with Copper (Substrate and Proof mass) [Un-optimized], produces maximum voltage, current and power of about 280 V, 26× A and 5S.24×W, which is more, when compared to PZT-4 and PZT-S material. The GWO optimization is applied to the selected best material (PZT-5A with Copper), which optimizes the parameters of the material, and produces maximized voltage, current and power of about 4S0V, 0. 24mA and 6mW respectively, which is more when compared to the un-optimized results, which is suitable to power medical applications.
