Stability prediction for distributed DC power systems is analyzed. When the stability of source converters in paralleled with a constant current load is guaranteed, Middlebrook impedance criterion can be used for the whole system stability prediction. Output impedance of paralleled DC power system is analyzed and stability prediction method for source converters in paralleled is proposed. And then stability prediction method for distributed DC power systems based on individual impedance measurement is completed. This proposed stability prediction method for distributed DC power systems does not request to know the inner structure and parameters of the converters in the system, which is more practical than the existed method. The proposed stability prediction method is confirmed experimentally.
