A Study on Development of a Wide Elegant Textile by Using Japanese Traditional Textile Technology of Nishijin-Ori

We are trying to express Japanese traditional worldview of Rimpa on our fabric of 150 cm width by using Japanese traditional textile technique of Nishijin-Ori. The dense, exquisite, unique expression of the textile by using shuttle loom will be achieved by using wide rapier loom. Consequently, Nishijin-Ori technique will be the key not only for Kimono, but also for an indoor interior, an interior decoration of a car, and a couture of all over the world, which will rise to great artistic heights.
