An isolated dc-dc converter with two-step current-driven rectifier is introduced. A series-resonant inverter for reducing turn off switching loss is applied which free the converter capacity to work in higher switching frequencies and it's used for a supplying sinusoidal current source to the rectifier and this included analysis and simulation results. Implementing the second step above the current-driven rectifier to utilize its switching capability for balancing series lithium-ion battery cells allows the converter to provide constant voltage with batteries due to its output capacitors paralleled with them. The negligible effect of two-step rectifier on the series-resonant inverter is discussed and rectifier efficiency along with conduction loss is expressed.
