Numerical modeling of poroelastic wave equations based on the Biot theory has very significant practical meaning. In numerical modeling process, boundary conditions should be implemented to eliminate the effect of reflections from the artificially truncated edges of the discretized model. In this paper, an unsplit matched Z-transform perfectly matched layer (MZT-PML) is introduced in the modeling of poroelastic wave equations. Numerical modeling results show that, compared with the convolution perfectly matched layer (CPML), MZT-PML also can effectively suppress the low-frequency spurious reflections in high-angle incidence case, and have a bit better absorption effect and stability in the long time simulation.
