This paper presents a scheme of rural electrification (RE) using wind, biogas and grid supply. The novel scheme of limited grid operation for defined load share is developed in this work. The system frequency and voltage (magnitude and angle) are controlled using ISE tuned PI controller. The change in system load is supplied by the renewable energy sources (RES) and the grid shares constant load. The permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) with full rating voltage source converter (VSC) is used as wind generator. The biogas engine with electronic governor, using synchronous generator (SG) and automatic voltage regulator (AVR). The system is simulated in MATLAB/Simulink and the performance is analyzed for variable load and input wind power.
