摘要

The non-linear oscillatory behaviour of rotor angle of synchronous generator is very important in the power system stability studies. In this work; a systematic analytical approach based on perturbation theory is proposed to understand the effect of higher order terms of the Taylor series expansion of the swing equation model of power system. Classical model of power system is explicitly represented as a weakly non-linear system and approximate solution using the perturbation theory is obtained. The physical factor of flux decay of synchronous machine is incorporated in this model. The application of the proposed method is illustrated on a single machine infinite bus system. The model accommodates the transient stability analysis as an initial value problem.
