This study aims at the erosion near the west breakwater of Mai-Liao harbor. The hydraulic model arranged according to the layout of Mai-Liao harbor and the measured topographic data. The wave height distribution and the velocity field are measured respectively. The results show that the phenomenon of erosion occurred on the southwest side of the breakwater under the influence of typhoon waves, and at 50 ~ 150m away from the breakwater head under the action of tidal currents. The local velocity in the eroded area is relatively large, and the trend of the phenomenon is consistent with the current situation.
