Technologies of Use of Two Hovercrafts for Destruction of the Ice Cover

This article describes the technologies for improvement of efficiency of ice cover destruction using interference and flexural gravity waves generated by simultaneous movement of several amphibian hovercrafts (AHC). AHCs will move over the ice cover at constant speed, abreast or in single line ahead. Analysis will be performed using equation of small oscillations of floating visco-elastic plate. Specified system of surface pressures q will move over the plate at speed u. Solution of the equation is obtained in integral form. In order to confirm obtained mathematical relations, experimental research has been performed in experimental basin using elastic film and in ice basin on natural ice cover.
