Portable audio-modulated Tesla coil for demonstrative actions

摘要

A Tesla coil is a device used for obtaining high voltage at high frequency. The initial purpose its creator, Nikola Tesla, envisioned for it was to transmit wireless energy; advances in electronics have helped people build Tesla coils that can produce music, the lightning bolts acting like a speaker. Nowadays, this device is used for research and special effects. However, we argue that such a device is also very useful in education. The scope of the project is to be able to present concepts in physics, from simple to complex, to young people throughout the learning process! Consequently, in this paper we will present the development of an audio-modulated Tesla coil, built for educational purposes.
