Ethical Citizenship

摘要

The resources to treat animal welfare problems are limited, yet many of the problems with animal use are caused by the way people treat or perceive animals. Complaints against poor farming practices, poor husbandry and against animal testing show there is a concern from a select public against treating animals in certain ways. This paper addresses possible explanations for why this concern is not more influential in changing production systems.
