DISTILLERY SPENT WASH (EFFLUENT) TO BE VIEW OUT OF CIRCLE

Alcohol producing INDIAN Distillery industry is facing serious crunch due to spent wash disposal. The waste water generated from molasses based distillery is called spent wash or vinasse. In our country spent wash is considered as highly polluted effluent due to its high COD/BOD value and its dark brown color. In this article effort has been made to view (spent wash) from out of circle, if we view from in side circle we can see it is a effluent but from out of circle one can view its (spent wash) important-neglected value as a renewal energy source / Bio-liquid fertilizer as by-product of distiller not a effluent.
