Working AO-40 with minimal hardware can be a challenge. Working it with portable hardware that willall fit in a suitcase is something I have been thinking about since the first time I saw the W9AE portablesystem: an FT-S47, an Arrow Antenna 7x2 beam, a G3RUH dish and patch, and a TSI 3731downconverter. I worked W9AE when he used his innovative system in Guadelupe (FG). I later workedVE7DX from both Lesotho (7PS) and Swaziland (3D) while operating with the same gear.
