Calcium phosphate nanoparticles are biocompatible and therefore suitable as drug-delivery systems, especially for the transfection of cells with DNA. One major challenge is the reproducibility of size and shape for the production of such dispersions in larger scale, hi addition, the long term storability of such dispersions between preparation and use must be addressed. With a continuous flow tube reactor, size- and shape-defined calcium phosphate polymer/DNA nanoparticles were accessible by varying different parameters like tube length, pump-rate and reactant concentrations
